Tuscia University is a medium-size State University based in Viterbo (IT) with a good scientific research ranking. It participates in ELSE with the Department of Humanities and Communication Studies (DISUCOM) as general coordinator. The teaching practice in this Department is characterized by a transversal and humanistic approach and a shared theoretical and relational ground, relevant to address University students of different age. As third mission, DISUCOM and its lecturers have been involved in pre-service and in-service teacher training in the field of the Humanities for years. A specific care for new teaching methodologies has resulted in and been made possible by the adoption of ICTs as an opportunity to reach students and motivate them in their learning process. The implementation of a personalized Moodle platform, soon extended to the whole University, has represented a fundamental turning point, allowing massive testing, the creation of digital teaching materials and the adoption of forms of blended learning.


The Manchester Metropolitan University is a UK Higher Education Institution, founded in 1824 as a Polytechnic.  Its remit is to provide higher education, conduct research and engage in activities with businesses and the community.  It is a large organisation, with just under 40,000 students and over 5000 employees.
Its principal activities also include collaborative and contract research (for organisations including  UK Research Councils, national and local government, the European Commission, the voluntary and charitable sector, large international companies and SMEs) in disciplinary areas that range from  business and management, to law, social sciences, humanities, science and engineering, health, education and art and design.
In the context of the ELSE project, besides  contributing to the development and testing of the Teaching and Learning strategies promoted and designed by the project partners, MMU is designing and producing the user manual for instructors.


Founded in 1962, West University of Timişoara (WUT) (web page: is the main higher education institution in the western part of Romania and is one of the five oldest universities in the country which form the Universitaria consortium.
We are affiliated to: European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC), European University Association (EUA), European Association for International Education (EAIE), European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN), Magna Charta Observatory, etc. WUT has had a wide international network of cooperation including 265 Erasmus bilateral agreements.
Our role in the project is to support the work on a unitary database about the state of the art after the implementation of the Bologna agreement in each partner country. By drawing the general and particular conclusions as to the state of each partner country’s educational system, our team contributes to the creation of the hypertext developed by P4.

Within International Balkan University there are English language School and seven faculties with over 30 undergraduate , graduate and doctorate programs in a variety of fields, such as engineering, architecture, economics, administrative sciences, fine arts, educational sciences, law, communication, humanities, and social sciences .
International Balkan University (P4) is in charge of collecting and giving an interpretative direction to the material and elaborating hypertexts related to Project’s Intellectual Output 1: Innovating pedagogies at tertiary level: a hypertext of good practices as well as for planning Project overall dissemination activities and promotion of ELSE Project results in non-EU countries.


Politecnico di Milano is the largest Italian technical university, ranked as one of the top universities in the world in the field of engineering and technology. The University has always focused on the quality and innovation of its teaching: research has always been linked to didactics. This priority commitment has allowed Politecnico to achieve high quality results at an international level.
Within the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), HOC-LAB is an interdisciplinary laboratory active in the field of educational technology, for all school grades, with projects ranging from collaborative virtual environments to digital storytelling and educational chatbots.
Within the ELSE project, HOC-LAB has a double role: the creation and management of the project’s website and, more important, the creation of a collaborative cloud platform to support flipped-classroom activities, and more specifically of a tool to monitor and evaluate the impact and perception by the students of educational videos.



The University of Cyprus (UCY), officially founded in 1989, has the following faculties: Humanities, Pure and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Education, Economics and Management, Letters, Engineering and the recently formed Medical School. The Department of Computer Science, belonging to the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, is very active in the areas of information technology and communications, while it has also been very active in attracting funding and since Cyprus joined the E.U. it has participated in over 150 projects funded by various frameworks of the European Union.
The University of Cyprus participates in the ELSE Erasmus+ project through the Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Laboratory, an integral part of the Department of Computer Science. SEIT focuses its research activities on two important areas of Information Technology, namely Software Engineering and Internet Technologies.
In ELSE project, UCY leads Intellectual Output 4 in the frame of which will create an e-assessment method and tool inspired by personalization and context-awareness concepts to assist professors and students in their learning.



The University of Cadiz (UCA) is located in a key geostrategic area in southern Spain. Committed to the highest intellectual and cultural standards, this university is arranged into four campuses thus guaranteeing its presence around the province.
Study and practice of accounting has a long tradition in the city of Cadiz. Our Business Faculty traces its roots to this widely recognized know-how, offering bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Accounting and Finance as well as a master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing.
In 2017, the UCA ELSE members launched the Bilingual Education Framework, aimed at fostering the integration of English as a FL in the teaching of business, encouraging learner-centred practices through CLIL.
Our expertise in Social Sciences and Humanities (accounting, ESP) plus CLIL teaching methods is expected to provide ELSE with knowledge and tools to assess progress towards its goals, also increasing the fields for innovative learning environments.



The Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.Porto) is the largest and one of the most dynamic polytechnic institutions in Portugal, emerging as first in the Polytechnic ranking and, along with other major Universities, it is placed in the upper segment of the higher education national ranking. P.Porto involves 8 schools, more than 20 R&D units, and is the best positioned in international scientific rankings in Portugal. Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP) is closely located to the IPP Campus, offering its 4000-strong student population a range of innovative Bachelor and Master courses. Business sciences are at the core of ISCAP’s academic life and purpose. Due to the country’s general business scope (where nearly 100% of its business fabric is made up of SMEs), the connection between Higher Education and the national Business fabric is crucial. In this line, ISCAP created the business simulation environment in 2003 in order to provide students a risk-free business experience.




In 2019 Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań celebrates its 100th Anniversary. It is ranked as one of the top three universities in Poland, conducting research in 15 faculties and providing education to 37,000 students of 78 different nationalities.
Adam Mickiewicz University is represented in the ELSE Erasmus+ project by a team from the English Faculty, which has along a successful history of implementing ICT tools in its didactics.
The role of the AMU team as a partner in the ELSE project is to prepare self-reflection and self-assessment tools to help students with their own skill identification, development, learning strategies.

Since 2006 Entropy KN has collaborated with important public and private organisations supporting them in making educational projects that focus on individuals to achieve corporate growth and well-being. Thanks also to research projects and international partnerships, Entropy KN implements innovative, new technology-based learning programmes.
This research work translates into methodologies and innovative learning solutions (Serious Games, Augmented Reality, Educational Robotics) that contribute to generating value for our customers. Entropy supports companies in activating the creative potentials that are key to personal and organisational effectiveness in the age of complexity.
In ELSE, Entropy KN is responsible for partnership’s self-training and up-dating in Technology Enhanced Learning; creation of virtual simulation environments (Serious Game Editor) where to develop competence learning at university (IO3), including their dissemination and sustainability.


The University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Romania, is a state, non-profit institution for higher education and scientific research. It has six faculties and a Department of Teacher Education. In its current structure, UMFST has 10.726 students (enrolled in its 35 bachelor’s degree programmes, 33 master’s degree programmes, 7 doctoral studies, residency and other forms of education/training), and 1.233 staff members (739 teaching staff, 494 auxiliary and non-auxiliary didactic staff).

Within ELSE, UMFST is responsible for: experimentation of innovative pedagogies and outputs and teaching procedures; PM minutes and internal workflow reports; recording transnational meetings, drafting the activity reports, disseminating to other disciplines; ideation of training courses for piloting ELSE methodology/digital tools and dissemination with non-Humanities University teaching staff; contribution to the hypertext and to Romania national survey in cooperation with P3; hosting PM6 in January 2021.
